Characteristics of the trace left by MASCOT on the regolith (in cm) at different times for a gravel-like regolith, where timpact corresponds to the simulation time when MASCOT is for the first time in contact with the regolith. The color bar represents the height of the regolith (bed and ejecta). MASCOT lands in the Back-Corner-First configuration with an impact angle of 45° and has no spin before the impact, and the regolith is 30 cm deep.
